It is the largest airline in the Middle East and the fourth largest in the world. Founded in 1985, it is headquartered in Dubai with its main hub at Dubai International Airport. It operates flights over 140 destinations in over 70 countries. 

2.      Quatar Airways
Founded in 1993, Qatar Airways is the flag carrier of Qatar. Headquartered in Doha, the airline operates from its base Hamad International Airport. It flies across 151 destinations across Africa, Central Asia, Europe, Far East, South Asia, Middle East, North America, South America and Oceania.

3.      Saudi Arabian Airlines
Established in 1945, Saudi Airlines is owned by the Saudi Arabian government and has its headquarter in Jeddah. The airline mainly operates from King Abdulaziz International Airport-Jeddah. Its other hubs are King Khalid International Airport-Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport-Dammam. It is the third largest airline in the Middle East, behind Emirates and Qatar Airways. It covers a total of 127 destinations across Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.

4.      Etihad Airways
State-owned Etihad Airways saw the light in 2003 and has become the third largest airline in Middle East and the second largest in the UAE, after Emirates. With its head office in Abu Dhabi, it operates from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Etihad Airways has its presence in 90 destinations over Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australasia

5.      Flydubai
Flydubai is a government owned Middle Eastern airlines, which operates from Dubai International Airport. The airline serves Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, between a total of 95 destinations.
